By using Know Your Deficit ("KYD", "the app"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What KYD is

KYD is a calorie and macro tracking tool designed to help you understand your energy balance. It is not medical software. It does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making significant changes to your diet or exercise routine.

Your account

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
• You must be at least 16 years old to use KYD
• One account per person

Free trial

New users receive a 21-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start the trial. After the trial period, a paid subscription is required to continue using the app.

Subscription and payment

• After your free trial, KYD costs $9.99 USD per month
• Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
• We do not offer refunds for partial months

AI-powered estimates

KYD uses AI to estimate calories and protein from food descriptions and photos. These estimates are approximations, not precise measurements. You should verify and adjust estimates as needed. We are not responsible for inaccurate estimates or any dietary decisions made based on them.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access other users' data
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the service
• Resell or redistribute the service

Your data

You own your data. You can export it at any time (CSV or XLSX) from Settings. You can delete your account and all associated data permanently at any time. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle your data.

Limitation of liability

KYD is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app's Settings.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app. Continued use of KYD after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of KYD shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
